46th Annunal GMA Dove Awards Nominees

Dove Awards Nominees 2015The Gospel Music Association (GMA) announced the nominees in 41 categories for the 46th Annual GMA Dove Awards.
The awards show will take place on Tuesday, October 13, 2013, at Lipscomb University’s Allen Arena in Nashville, TN at 6:30 pm CT.
Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) will exclusively air the awards show on Sunday, October 18 on the network’s global stage reaching over 100 million homes in the US, plus global and multi-platform distribution.
Voting for the final winners will run August 20th through August 27.
Lecrae leads with 7 nominations, including Artist Of The Year; for KING & COUNTRY garners 6 nominations, with Crowder, Chris Tomlin and Matt Maher each earn 4.

44thnd Annual GMA Dove Awards Nominees

dove44The Gospel Music Association (GMA) announced the nominees in 42 categories for the 44th Annual GMA Dove Awards.
The awards show will take place on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Allen Arena on the campus of Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN at 7:30pm CT.
The show will be broadcast on Monday, October 21st at 8:00ET exclusively on the UP! Television Network.
Voting for the final winners will run from September 3rd through September 24th.

Chris August – the third artist to win “New Artist of the Year Dove Award and “Male Vocalist of the Year” Dove Award in the same year

Chris August is the third artist who received “New Artist of the Year” Dove Award and “Male Vocalist of the Year” Dove Award in the history of the Dove Awards.
The previous winner is Jeremy Camp, in 2004.
Michael English is the very first to win in both mentioned categories, in 1992.

 

Francesca Battistelli – the first female vocalist to win Dove Award for “Artist of the Year” in 19 years

Francesca Battistelli is the first female vocalist, in 19 Years, to win the Dove Award for “Artist of the Year”.
The previous female winner was Amy Grant, in 1992.
The first woman to win the Artist of the Year award was Sandi Patty, in 1987 and 1988.

Fans will help decide the winners of two key Dove Award categories once again this year: Artist of the Year and New Artist of the Year. Voting will close Tuesday, April 19 at midnight (EST), the night prior to the Dove Awards at Atlanta’s historic Fox Theater.
